In order to prepare for the Schengen evaluation mission which will take place in April 2009, the Ministry of Administration and Interior has organised, during 15^th- 16^th of January 2009, a pre-evaluation mission in the data protection field, with TAIEX support.

The experts' team will comprise Mrs. Nataša Pirc Musar - the president of the Data Protection Authority in Slovenia and Mr. Thomas Meyer - expert within the SIRENE Bureau in Germany.

The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing will support the initiative of the Ministry of Administration and Interior, by presenting the national framework within the data protection field.

This meeting will constitute a very useful exercise for preparing the Schengen evaluation mission by all the institutions involved, in very good conditions.
