During the European Data Protection Board Plenary, held remotely on the 14^th of December 2021, the final form of the Guidelines 01/2021 on Examples regarding Data Breach Notification was adopted.

This document aims to support the controllers and processors, being complementary to the Guidelines on the data breach notification, adopted in 2017.

The Guidelines 1/2021 contains numerous practical edifying cases, reported to the processing risks generated specifically by the nature of the data, their volume and number of persons affected, inclusively examples regarding the impact of the human errors of the controllers’ employees, as well as recommendations for the prevention of risks.
