The final Guidelines of Article 29 Working Party
During the Article 29 Working Party Plenary held in April 2017, 3 guidelines designed to ensure the uniform application of the General Regulation on Data Protection, starting with the 25th of May 2017, were finalised and adopted.
Thus, following the public consultation launched in December last year and the analysis of the proposals received, the following guidelines were adopted:
- Guidelines on the right to data portability,
- Guidelines on Data Protection Officers (‘DPOs’),
- Guidelines for identifying a controller or processor’s lead supervisory authority
Moreover, we mention that, during this Plenary, the Opinion 1/2017 on the Proposed Regulation for the ePrivacy Regulation.
During the same Plenary, the Statement of the Article 29 Working Party on the review of Regulation 45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data was also adopted.
