The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing completed, in May 2025, an investigation at the controller Dincă Viorel George and found the breach of Article 58 paragraph (1) letters a) and e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

The controller was fined with 995.50 lei (equivalent to 200 euros) for failing to respond to the requests of the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

The investigation was initiated following a complaint that a natural person had an inappropriately installed video surveillance system on a property.

During the investigation, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing found that the natural person did not communicate to our institution the information requested based on the legal powers of investigation, thus violating the provisions of Article 58 paragraph (1) letters a) and e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. For this act, the controller was sanctioned with a reprimand and a corrective measure was ordered.

Since the controller did not implement the corrective measure previously ordered by the Authority, the fine was imposed.

At the same time, the corrective measure of submitting a complete response to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing was resumed against the sanctioned person.

We note that the controller did not submit a response to the requests of our institution, according to the corrective measure ordered.
