EDPB Plenary

Within the European Data Protection Board Plenary, held remotely on the 14^th of January 2021, mainly, the following documents were adopted:

• Guidelines  on Examples regarding Data Breach Notification
• Guidelines on the on the application of Art. 62 GDPR (joint operations of the national supervisory authorities);
• EDPB – EDPS joint opinion on Standard contractual clauses between controllers and processors (related to Article 28 paragraph 7 of the GDPR);
• EDPB-EDPS Joint Opinion on standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries.

In this context, we mention that the main documents approved during the previous Plenary from December 2020 were the following:

• Guidelines 10/2020 on restrictions under Article 23 GDPR
• Guidelines 2/2020 on Articles 46 (2) (a) and 46 (3) (b) of Regulation 2016/679 for transfers of personal data between EEA and non-EEA public authorities and bodies
• Guidelines 06/2020 on the interplay of the Second Payment Services Directive and the GDPR
