The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing concluded, in January 2026, an investigation into Tensa Art Design S.A. and found a violation of the provisions of Article 83(5)(e), in conjunction with Article 58(1)(a) and (e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Accordingly, the controller was fined RON 101,794 (the equivalent of EUR 20,000).

The investigation was initiated following a complaint submitted by an individual (user), who reported that tracking and behavioral advertising cookies were being placed on the website https://lensa.ro, operated by S.C. Tensa Art Design S.A.

During the investigation, it was found that S.C. Tensa Art Design S.A. had failed to respond to the request addressed to it by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing in the exercise of its investigative powers.

Accordingly, the controller was fined for violating the provisions of Article 83(5)(e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, in conjunction with Article 58(1)(a) and (e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

In addition, the corrective measure of providing the ANSPDCP with the requested response was imposed on the controller.
