In the event of a finding of a contravention and applying a penalty in the form of a fine by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing, the fine stipulated in the report of finding/sanction shall be paid to the unit of the State Treasury in the territorial area where the tax office of the data controller is located. The fine is paid within 15 days of handing over/communicating the report of finding/sanction. A certified copy of the receipt or payment order shall be transmitted within the same term to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing or sent by post to its headquarters in Bucharest, 28-30 Gh. Magheru Blvd., 1^st district.

In case of non-payment of the fine at the specified term, enforcement will be carried out, according to the law.

This information is also communicated through the payment notification which is handed over to the data controller in original, together with a copy of report of finding/sanction.

The fines imposed by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing constitute income for the state budget.
